A Young Woman – New Poem

Pleased to share “A Young Woman,” which was just published at Feminine Collective, a stellar lit publication featuring poems and stories by writers dealing in “humanity, raw and unfiltered.”     Founded a decade ago by writer/model Julie Anderson, FC’s mission is to empower, enlighten, and entertain.”  As always, chuffed to be included, much thanks to Julie and FC.

Check it out at https://www.femininecollective.com/a-young-woman/ and below.  Enjoy.

“A Young Woman”

At the Georgia O’Keeffe museum
There was a picture of the artist
As a young woman, with an impish grin
Mischievous eyes and a wide-open face
Full of possibility, unraveling the times
Walking through the door, painted
Over and over again, considering
All the various ways a woman would venture
Into the world and wind up on the other side
Among deserts and mountains and places of the heart
Most people never travel
